ABOUT
Having worked in large London teaching hospitals for 20 years, I am now based in Northamptonshire, working both within the NHS and privately. I travel to patients’ homes or can arrange a clinic appointment. During the pandemic I am also doing alot of telephone and video consultations which are proving to be very effective and popular
I treat all musculoskeletal conditions including back and neck pain, rehabilitation post injury, surgery or trauma, and chronic pain. My treatments are evidence-based and take the holistic approach to the body, considering the variety of demands that life puts upon it.
I specialise in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, having seen the great impact on quality of life that pelvic floor problems can have on both women and men, and the huge benefits that can be gained using physiotherapy as a first line treatment.
I am involved, through my interest in Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), with NASS (National Axial Spondyloarthritis Society) and helped establish a local branch in Northampton where I treat AS patients in Rheumatology and Hydrotherapy. I am a member of POGP (Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy), CSP (The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy), as well as being HPC (Health Professions Council) registered. I’m also able to use Pilates within exercise programs, having trained in mat work with the APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute).
I am married with three children and enjoy walking with my dogs and friends, lifting weights, gardening, painting and sewing and exploring
