PHYSIOTHERAPY
I'm currently offering online support, either via telephone or video consultation, due to COVID-19 restrictions. I have found these to be very helpful to most patients.
For pelvic health problems, an internal examination may be advisable. If this is the case, I can either make a home or clinic visit to allow me to assess the pelvic floor.
ASSESSMENT & DIAGNOSIS
I'll start by assessing your body and hearing your story and symptoms. I take a holistic view as often one complaint isn't an isolated incident.
TREATMENT & THERAPY
I take the time to understand the root of your problem in order to provide the best and most effective treatment. Treatment typically use soft issue or joint mobilisation, exercise advice and a bespoke programme.
WHAT I CAN HELP WITH
MUSCULOSKELETAL PROBLEMS
I can help with common conditions such as back and neck pain, sports injuries, accident injuries and trauma, shoulder dysfunctions, hip and knee pain, post-operative rehabilitation, postural issues, rheumatological conditions and COVID-19 rehabilitation.
PELVIC HEALTH
NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines currently include consulting a pelvic floor specialist physiotherapist as the first line of treatment - rather than a surgical approach.
Physiotherapy can help with all issues related to the pelvic area and the pelvic floor, for both men and women. I can help with bowel and bladder problems, postnatal issues, incontinence, bladder weakness, prolapse, and pelvic pain.
WOMEN'S HEALTH
Women’s health physiotherapy is the therapeutic treatment of all disorders affecting the pelvis and pelvic floor. Most women do not know that help is available and it can be an embarrassing topic so many tolerate these problems for years before seeking help. Learn more.
